HKU Facilities Access Cards for New Students

HPSHCC students are entitled for a HKU Facilities Access Card (FAC) allowing them to enjoy the resources and services provided by the HKU Main Library and 6 specialist branch libraries. The FACs for new students are now ready for collection and valid for use within your normative study period at HPSHCC. Upon receipt of the FAC, you can activate your HKU e-library account. Please:

1. Present your Student ID Card and collect your FAC in person at the HPSHCC Library (4/F) during opening hours
2. Activate your e-Library account by referring to the attached guide “How to Activate Your HKU e-Library Account”

After your e-Library account is successfully activated, please refer to the attached guide “How to Access HKUL Electronic Resources” to search any electronic resources you need. You may also access to the electronic resources of HKU Libraries through the SOUL 2.0 platform.

In case of any loss/damage of the FAC, students who wish to apply for a card replacement should visit to the HKU Main Library in person. A non-refundable replacement fee of HK$150 is required.

Apart from the HKU Libraries, there is a reference library located on 4/F at HPSHCC campus to support teaching and learning. Loan services of designated materials (e.g. IELTS materials) are available in the Library. Please refer to the attached “Regulations on HPSHCC Library Loan Services” for more details.
